  • His brace against Poland increased his total Portugal goals to 135, contributing to a staggering career total of 910 goals

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has shattered yet another record while hinting at his plans for the future. In Portugal’s commanding 5-1 UEFA Nations League victory over Poland, the 39-year-old not only delivered an impressive performance but also broke an international wins record which was held previously by Spanish great, Sergi Ramos.

The Al-Nassr forward, captaining Roberto Martinez's side, displayed his ageless brilliance on Friday evening, November 15. Amidst the roars of the home crowd, Ronaldo netted twice, including a breathtaking bicycle kick that left fans and critics alike in awe. His performance, coupled with goals from teammates Rafael Leao, Pedro Neto, and Bruno Fernandes, ensured that Portugal maintained their dominance in League A Group 1, securing their spot in the Nations League quarter-finals.

Ronaldo's two goals against Poland marked another milestone in his illustrious career. He now holds the record for the most international wins, with 132 victories for Portugal. This feat surpassed his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos, who achieved 131 wins during his time with Spain. Another legendary Spanish player, Iker Casillas, occupies the third spot with 121 wins.

Adding to the tally of his unparalleled career achievements, Ronaldo's brace increased his total goals for Portugal to 135, contributing to an astonishing 910 career goals. Just two months ago, he celebrated reaching the 900-goal mark for club and country, these feats only prove him as one of football’s greatest-ever players.

Despite his on-field excellence, Ronaldo’s comments about retirement sent emotional ripples. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner admitted he might have “one or two years” left in professional football,

“I just want to enjoy. Plan for the retirement... if it has to happen, in one or two years... I don't know. I’m turning 40 soon,” Ronaldo said during a post-match interview.

While he refrained from setting a definitive timeline, Ronaldo made it clear that his motivation would dictate his decision,

“As long as I feel motivated, I keep going. The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire,” he stated.

However, one thing Ronaldo categorically dismissed was the possibility of stepping into management, saying,

“I don’t see myself managing a team; that’s not in my plans. My future lies in other areas outside of football.”

With Ronaldo showing no signs of slowing down, speculation is rife about whether he will appear in the 2026 World Cup. If he does, it will mark his sixth appearance at football’s grandest stage, a record no male player has ever achieved.

Ronaldo pushes Al Nassr to sign Man City superstar in potential blockbuster move

Previously, TheRadar reported that Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo had reportedly urged his club to break the bank in pursuit of Premier League superstar Kevin De Bruyne.

Since leaving Manchester United in 2022 and embarking on his Saudi Pro League journey, Ronaldo has become a force to reckon with for Al Nassr, but he believes one particular addition could change the club’s fortunes.
