- The nationwide protest has commenced fully, and it's being peaceful in some states
- However, some protesters in Kano loot the Nigeria Communication Commission office
- Nigerians reacted by condemning their actions, while some believed the government hired the looters
The nationwide protest tagged #EndBadGovernance, #EndBadGovernanceProtest, and #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria officially commenced Thursday, August 1.
While there have been peaceful protests in some states, some protesters are reportedly being chased by security agencies in other states.
However, some protesters were seen in viral pictures on X, looting the yet-to-be-commissioned Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) digital innovation industrial park in Kano State.
In the pictures, some guys were seen with desktops, some carrying office chairs and other items.
Nigerians reacted by saying the protesters were missing the main agenda of the protest, which was supposed to be peaceful.
