Funke Felix-Adejumo Foundation's president and co-founder of The Agape Christian Ministries Worldwide, Funke Felix-Adejumo, has made history as she became the first female bishop in Ondo State.
On Sunday, January 19, she posted on her Instagram account that she was ordained as a bishop by Bishop Francis Wale Oke, the president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
During the ceremony, Bishop Oke affirmed her calling, stating,
"Upon the affirmation of this episcopal oath of ministry, I, Bishop Francis Olaoke, by the grace of God, hereby pronounce you Rev. Dr. Mrs. Funke Itunu Adejumo qualified to be canonically consecrated as a Bishop in the body of Christ."
Known for her significant contributions to empowering women, supporting orphans, and aiding the less privileged, Bishop Felix-Adejumo's philanthropic initiatives, such as the Funke Felix-Adejumo Foundation and Grace Orphanage, have left a profound impact. Her elevation to bishop signified a remarkable milestone in her distinguished ministerial career.
The occasion was celebrated in grand style with a white party attended by friends, families, and well-wishers, and the online community also joined in the festivities.
