Following the collaboration saga between Wumi Toriola and Chef T, actress Toriola has responded to food critic Opeyemi Famakin for interfering in the issue.
Toriola had accused Opeyemi of shading her because she (Toriola) called out Chef T for ignoring her message despite a collaboration request.
Via her official Instagram page, on March 13, Toriola wrote an open letter to Opeyemi, noting that she is aware he was referring to her.
She also asked him to be bold enough to call her out directly instead. She also added that his actions were laughable considering that he is someone without a defined career.
Wumi Toriola’s response to food critic Opeyemi
“Dear Opeyemi, There's really no need to act like a coward. My name is Wumi Toriola, and I'm merely responding to your tantrums and desperate need for attention - if it brings you even a shred of relevance, I truly don't mind.
It's rather amusing, though, coming from someone without a defined career or any tangible job description. You've caused more harm than good to struggling entrepreneurs, all under the guise of being a self-appointed food critic.
Next time you feel the urge to come for me, perhaps take a moment to reflect, establish a long-term career or build a successful business of your own. That way, your words might carry a little more weight. Sincerely, Wumi Toriola,” she wrote.
Food critic Opeyemi’s alleged shade video
Prior to Toriola’s message, Opeyemi has posted a video, where he analysed the collaboration saga between the actress and Chef T.
Not mentioning Toriola’s name, the popular food critic shared his thoughts on the issue, emphasizing the influence of Chef T in the food industry space.
“No Chef T slander will be tolerated. We don't do that shii here,” he captioned his video..
Meanwhile, an observation by TheRadar noted that Nollywood actress Toriola had replied under the comment section of Opeyemi’s video before sharing it again on her official page.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that the Nigerian Box Office released its ranking for 2024's highest-grossing lead actresses including Funke Akindele and Wumi Toriola.
