- Netizens praised Apostle Femi Lazarus for extending an olive branch to Timi Dakolo, promoting unity and understanding within the body of Christ
In a surprising move, Apostle Femi Lazarus, founder of Sphere of Light church, has praised Timi Dakolo amid their ongoing drama over gospel ministers charging for ministration.
On Monday, March 24, Apostle Lazarus posted a photo with Timi Dakolo and Pastor Irene, expressing admiration for the musician.
"My brother @timidakolo is a music legend. Give him his flowers What a man! He genuinely carries the burdens of musicians His concerns are real, I love you," Apostle Lazarus wrote.
He also acknowledged the controversy surrounding gospel ministers charging for their services, assuring that the parties involved will do better.
"Better structures will be built, Pain is real, From pulpit to the pew, the pain is real, but we will be fine.
“This generation will not have a carryover of pain. Hosts will do better. Guests will do better. We will have a better nation together."
This stems from a debate that began on March 17, when Apostle Femi Lazarus, in a video, criticised gospel ministers for charging fees.
He expressed concern about the growing commercialisation of worship ministrations in Nigeria and Africa and stated that many have become more about performance than genuine worship.
However, Timi Dakolo quickly responded, arguing that gospel musicians have bills to pay and need to meet, just like anyone else.
Apostle Lazarus' post has garnered widespread reactions from netizens, who have praised his move as a display of maturity.
Many have commended the man of God for extending an olive branch to Timi Dakolo, stating that this is the kind of unity and understanding they expect from the body of Christ.

Pastor Adeboye apologises for saying people who don’t pay tithe won’t make heaven
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye apologised for saying that Christians who don’t pay tithe won’t make heaven.
He said only beginners pay 10 per cent, and added that some people should pay 20, 30, or 40 per cent.
Nigerians reacted, some advised Christians to read their Bibles so that they would not be deceived. Others believe he is wrong for asking people to pay more than 10 per cent.
