Omah Lay speaks on the inspiration behind ‘Moving’

In another video, Omah Lay, in an interview with Amazon Music, talked about the inspiration for writing ‘Moving’ and his thought process.

In his words, “I'm Nigerian and I have a Nigerian passport. I have just seen the cruelty of the world so much. Immigration being treated like what as soon as they see the Nigerian passport. Until they realised that I am Omah Lay, that's when the treatment changes. All that added to the inspiration behind the song ‘Moving.’

“Moving is a very positive song about the uplifting, new situations and being energetic enough. It is being alive and able to move—being grateful. I also tried to capture one of the most famous stories of Nigerians from Edo precisely who always try to get to Europe illegally through the desert.

“I also tried to capture the story of every immigrant who is just looking for a home. I shot the music video in the desert and a truck which is the way our people have been travelling,” the superstar singer added.

Touching on his creative process for Moving, Omah Lay added that he was in Sweden for a studio camp. According to him, he just randomly heard the beat, got stuck on it and that was how Moving came to life.

Album Review: “HEIS” is Rema’s monotonous outburst for recognition

Earlier, TheRadar reviewed Rema’s album. It solidified an evolution in the 24-year-old's artistic journey, but it signalled a monotonous outburst to seek recognition.

Considering the title of the album and its meaning, Rema, born Divine Ikubor, made a rather bold declaration of himself as “number one” in the music game - which is quite controversial.
