Afrobeats singer Ololade Ahmed, known as Asake, has seen his song, Terminator, surpass 100 million streams on Spotify Nigeria.
This means that Asake, Mr Money as he is also fondly called, has hit the 100 million threshold three times on the streaming platform.
Album Talks made the announcement of Asake’s feat, on Tuesday, March 4, highlighting it as his third project to achieve the milestone.
Following that, TheRadar spotlighted all three Asake songs that have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.
Asake’s songs to hit 100M+ streams threshold on Spotify
- Terminator — 2025
The single released by Asake is not the typical love song yet it serenades a lover, with most of its lyrics. It was released in August 2022.
Terminator was released off his debut album, Mr Money With the Vibes. Four years after its release, the song has crossed over a 100 million streams on Spotify.
- Bandana with Fireboy DML — 2024
In 2024, Bandana track, where Asake collaborated with his ex-record label mate, Fireboy DML, also emerged with 100M+ streams.
The song became Asake’s most-streamed project on their platform. For Fireboy, the project was his third-most streamed project off his Playboy album.
- Lonely At The Top — 2024
The song released off his second studio project Work of Art, was his most streamed song on Spotify after hitting 100 million streams.
Lonely at The Top at the time was also the most-searched song in Nigeria. The mid-tempo track blends Afrobeats and Afropop.
Charting spree: 15 milestones achieved by Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ so far
