Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has reignited her long-running feud with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo after formally accepting a celebrity boxing challenge originally proposed by show promoter Paulo Okoye.
In a post shared via Instagram on Sunday, Anjorin declared her readiness to step into the ring, marking a significant turn in a dispute that has spanned several years and platforms.
“As at today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge,” she wrote, confirming her willingness to participate in the bout.
However, the actress introduced fresh conditions that have further intensified the situation. She proposed that Paulo Okoye should first face her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round boxing match before she herself takes on Iyabo Ojo the following day.

“You (Paulo) and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be me and Iyabo Ojo in the ring,” Anjorin stated.
Beyond the challenge itself, Anjorin escalated the rivalry with a series of pointed personal remarks directed at both Ojo and Okoye. She also challenged them to publicly present verifiable proof of their assets and achievements, adding another layer of tension to the already volatile relationship.
The latest development represents a new chapter in a long-standing public feud between the two actresses, which has played out across social media, in courtrooms, and through repeated public exchanges. The dispute is widely believed to have originated from a mix of professional rivalry and personal disagreements, but has since evolved into a complex conflict involving legal action and persistent accusations.
In 2024, Paulo Okoye first floated the idea of a celebrity boxing match between Anjorin and Ojo, reportedly offering a ₦10 million prize for the winner. The proposal was initially seen as a dramatic but unlikely resolution to their differences.

Tensions escalated further in 2025 when Iyabo Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was later struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated her intention to pursue additional legal remedies.

Anjorin’s acceptance of the challenge comes amid a growing trend of celebrity boxing matches within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
