Following his return to Nigeria, controversial singer Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, has been reportedly arrested a second time by the police.
The singer was first arrested in October over a controversial video he (Speed Darlington) made about Burna Boy.
Speed Darlington’s mother had shared details of how her son was picked up by his colleague Burna Boy and his squad because of the alleged defamatory video.
Via an X (formerly Twitter) post on Wednesday, November 27, Nigeria Stories shared the news of Speed Darlington’s arrest.
“Speed Darlington has been arrested again by the police upon his return to Nigeria. This is according to his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.” it wrote.
For confirmation, TheRadar checked Deji Adeyanju’s Facebook page and he also posted the news of Speed Darkington’s arrest.
“BREAKING: Our client Speed Darlington a.k.a AKPI has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, as of the time of this report, the reason for Speed Darlington’s arrest is yet to be revealed.

Speed Darlington finally regains freedom from police custody
Earlier, TheRadar reported that Nigerian controversial singer, Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, regained freedom after being detained in police custody.
Speed Darlington was arrested three days ago, for allegedly slandering Burna Boy in viral videos. In one of the videos, he questioned the authenticity of Burna Boy’s Grammy award.
According to his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, Burna Boy lodged a defamation and cyberstalking complaint which led to the detention of Speed Darlington for five days in Abuja.
