The Mbadiwe twins, Ocee and Ozee have officially become the first Head of House (HOH) for the Big Brother Naija season 9.
As the HOH, they are expected to have access to the HOH room, expected to coordinate tasks and ensure the smooth running of the house.
The selection process which started in the early hours of July 29, following its recent launch saw the 14 dynamic duos participate in the HOH ballot.
Mbadiwe twins
The rules of the selection allowed each pair housemate to write the names of pairs they want to become the HOH. The disclaimer, however, is that they must not write their pair names because it is exempted.
After writing the names, they will raise their hands to signify that they have made their final decision before casting their votes in the named ballot boxes.
Quite competitive, the process saw housemates nominate each pair at close range based on friendship, personality and even tribal similarity.

Housemates during HOH vote count
At the end of the votes, Big Brother ninjas counted the tiles cast in the ballot boxes. There was a tie between the Mbadiwe twins and the Radicals.
Following that, Biggie allowed the Ndinne pair as the custodians the power to choose who the Head of the House would be. After a process of deliberation, Ndinne eventually chose the Mbadiwe twins as the HOH for week 1.
Meanwhile, Biggie revealed that for this season, the HOH does not grant the Mbadiwe twins immunity. This means they can also be nominated for eviction like other housemates except for the custodian title holder, Ndinne.
