  • Idris Okuneye, popular Nigerian cross dresser revealed that he had fun while serving a six-month jail term
  • He said he was held in the male section of the correctional centre
  • He also made it known that he will still spray money but not Naira notes

Popular Nigerian cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has revealed that he had fun while in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

He said he was remanded in the male correctional centre and he wouldn’t have had as much fun if he had been in the female correctional centre. He also mentioned that he would not mind going back.

Bobrisky disclosed this on the Curiousity Made Me Ask podcast with Bau U on Sunday, August 25.

The controversial cross dresser added that some celebrities sent him millions of naira while he was incarcerated, a revelation which has earned those celebrities some criticism from Nigerians.

He said “When I was in the Correctional Centre, Kirikiri, I still had fun. You make yourself happy… I spent my time at the male correctional centre and I loved it. If I had stayed in the female correctional centre, I won’t have fun, I won’t enjoy myself.

“While I was in the male correctional centre, I was the only different person there. So, people were nice to me, showed me care and gave me stuff. If I had stayed in the female part, who would have shown me care?”

When asked about his experience in prison, he said: “I see it as a vacation to go and rest.  I have been working so hard and I think their decision was ok for me. Their decision was to break me, but sadly, nothing happened to Mommy of Lagos. I am still fine, I am still good and I will continue to be fine and good.”

He also disclosed that he is still gpoing to spray money but this time, it will be dollars not Naira.

When asked if he will like to be imprisoned again seeing as it was fun,  he said “I will love to go, maybe for a short term like that again.”

During the interview, Bobrisky implied that his imprisonment was unfair. He added “These people really want to break me. I have never seen anywhere you’re going to sentence someone for spraying of money, to prison. It is funny to me.

“Everything happned like a movie. Am I watching Netflix or what is going on? Spraying of money, it is my money. I did not steal money, I did not kidnap, I did not rape, I did not kill anybody.

“I sprayed my own hard-earned money and I was sentenced to where we have a lot of criminals. It is a whole lot but you see, I have always said this and will continue saying it, I am a very strong person so I am redy for anything that comes my way.

“If I have chosen this lifestyle to be who I want to be, then I should be ready for the worst and the worst that has happened is sending me to prison because obviously I did not kill anybody, I did not do anything,” he said.
