Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has denied the allegations levelled against her anonymous controversial blog, Gistlover.
In a now viral video, Dakore, who is on a vacation with her family in the United States of America, expressed her shock at the allegations and stated that she had never even met the senate president.
She said: “… I just started getting texts and calls alerting me to a very wicked lie from the pit of hell. I must say that I am very disappointed, shocked and appalled and I want to categorically state that I have never ever in my life met the senate president. I have not had any cause to see him or to be in the same room with him, not to talk of being one of his side chicks.
“Hello, I am happily married, I have two beautiful children, I have always been above board in my dealings with anyone. So, for a jobless and wicked blogger to decide to put my name amongst women who have been with this man is totally wicked and totally unfounded. It is a lie from the pit of hell and I am ready for any legal action because at this point, you have messed with the wrong person.”
The actress added that she would give anyone with “hard evidence” of the alleged affair the sum of N5 million.
Subsequently, Dakore, through her legal representatives, Olisa Agbakoba Legal, issued a cease and desist notice to Gistlover demanding that any incriminating post connecting her to the Senate President and containing her picture, be removed immediately.
Also contained in the legal document circulating on social media is the warning to refrain from making any further defamatory statements about Dakore and failure to comply will lead to aggressive legal actions against Gistlover.
Nigerians react to the Dakore’s video and lawsuit threat
Nigerians in their usual fashion, took to social media to react to the video of Dakore denying the allegations and the cease and desist notice addressed to Gistlover.
While some believe that the allegations are baseless, others were waiting for more evidence from Gistlover.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Nigerians dragged Timini Egbuson and compared his lifestyle with that of other Nollywood actresses.
Following Gistlover’s loud allegations against Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, about having affairs with female celebrities who were allegedly his side chicks, Nigerians have begun to compare the expensive lifestyles of some celebrities with their fellow popular figures.
Nollywood star Timini Egbuson also became a subject of comparison on social media after one of the lawmaker's alleged side chicks was identified as his elder sister.
