Afrobeats singer Damini Ogulu, poplarly known as Burna Boy, has finally released his first single of 2025, Update ahead of his anticipated album, No Sign of Weakness.
The song release came shortly after fans reacted to his profile picture change, which sparked speculation across social media.
The 33-year-old singer had deleted all posts from his social media handles and replaced his profile picture with a ‘loading’ icon with a black background.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post on Wednesday, February 19, Album Talks shared the news of Burna Boy’s newly released first track of 2025.
“Burna Boy's first single of 2025 Update Out Now.” it wrote.
Burna Boy’s latest song release is said to have sampled the legendary Soul II Soul’s record However Do You Want Me in his new single Update.
Meanwhile, via his official Instagram page, on Tuesday, February 18, Burna Boy had shared the teaser for the track Update.
The tug-war-inspired concept video captured a group of three men on one end of the rope. On the other end of the rope, Burna Boy, unshaken, takes all of them alone.
“On a normal day, dem no fit touch my energy,” he says.
