  • DJ Khaled, Burna Boy, Yan Diomande, Cheslin Kolbe and Benni McCarthy are among the stars linked to the inaugural Crash Games World Championship
  • The tournament’s first winner will receive a championship ring valued at more than $1,500 (about ₦2 million)
  • The first 5,000 players on the final leaderboard will receive prizes, with cash rewards and signed jerseys also up for grabs

DJ Khaled, Burna Boy, Yan Diomande, Cheslin Kolbe and Benni McCarthy are among the celebrities and sports personalities set to feature in the inaugural Crash Games World Championship (CGWC).

The star-studded lineup brings together names from music, football and other sporting circles, with a sixth ambassador expected to be announced later.

The championship, organised by SportyBet, will also see the introduction of an unusual prize for its inaugural winner: a championship ring valued at more than $1,500 (about ₦2 million).

Inspired by the rings awarded to NBA champions, the gold-plated ring is set with zirconia stones and was created specifically for the first player to finish top of the CGWC leaderboard.

The eventual winner will also receive a cash prize, a jersey signed by Sporty Group ambassadors and Free Bets.

Players finishing between second and 10th will receive cash prizes and signed jerseys, while the first 5,000 players on the leaderboard will receive prizes.

DJ Khaled, who is among the ambassadors attached to the championship, said the ring would make the inaugural title particularly memorable.

“That ring is serious. When you see something like that, you know this Championship is on another level,” he said.

The CGWC is billed as SportyBet’s first global Crash Games tournament, with further details about the competition and its full prize structure expected to be announced later.
