  •  A young boy testified he is the chosen successor to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, RCCG's general overseer
  •  He shared a message from God, stating Pastor Adeboye has been praying for him
  • The video sparks intense discussion, with believers and sceptics weighing in

A video clip that has been circulating online has ignited a heated debate within the Christian community. The footage appears to show a young boy testifying at an unidentified branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), claiming to be the successor to the church's General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

According to the video released on December 15, the boy shared his revelation, claiming that he was the individual Pastor Adeboye had been praying for. However, before he could elaborate further, the program's moderator intervened, cutting him off.

In the video, the boy stated: “In the presence of God, the truth is not an option to be believed. Daddy GO, I am the person you've been asking God for. I have a message from him to you, you can ask him and confirm.”

This has generated an uproar of reactions from social media users, with some expressing belief in the boy's claim while others have questioned its authenticity. Critics have also condemned the moderator's actions, accusing him of stifling the boy's testimony.

As of press time, the RCCG and Pastor Adeboye have not issued an official statement regarding the boy's revelation. The church's silence has only added to the speculation and debate surrounding the video.

This makes his message suspicious, He would have filled form to see him in the office one on one. Rebuking dignitaries in public can cause you your life, even if God sent you. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Remember how John the Baptist died.

“This is annoying,” Nigerians react as Adeboye claims prayers saved naira from further decline

Earlier, TheRadar reported netizens’ reactions to Pastor E.A. Adeboye's claim that prayers prevented the naira from falling to as low as ₦10,000 per dollar.

His comment on the backlash from the removal of petrol subsidies, suggesting it worsened the naira's instability, was met with great annoyance from Nigerians. However, the RCCG leader emphasised the need for divine help, noting that collective prayers helped stabilise the naira’s value.
