- Evicted housemates fought with Big Brother Naija housemates after the Saturday Night Gbedu
- Dami, Chinwe and Rhuthee shoved, provoked and bullied some housemates during the fight
- Fans ask organisers of the show to address the blatant show of bullying, provocation and negativity
The aftermath of the Saturday Night Gbedu on September 28 may go down in history as one of the most chaotic nights in the history of Big Brother Naija.
In what has been termed the biggest fight of the season, Big Brother Naija housemates Ocee, Ozee, Onyeka and Wanni clashed with evicted housemates, Chinwe, Rhuthee and Dami, who returned to the house recently.
The housemates were seen exchanging words with the evicted housemates rumoured to have started the fight. According to some of the housemates, the fight started when Ocee joined a conversation about with the returnees after the Saturday Night Gbedu.
The fight started when the returnees disagreed with Ocee's input. Ocee told them to change their strategy and stop trying to pick fights or provoke housemates, adding that their actions and rants were getting boring.
They called Ocee unprintable names and got physical with him, his brother Ozee, and Wanni, who did not retaliate.
According to videos circulating on social media, Dami shoved Wanni five times without getting a reaction from her. Rhuthee also put her hands on the Mbadiwe twins, shoved them, and provoked them into a fight, which the twins did not give in to.
Onyeka, who was sleeping in the Sunrise bedroom, heard the ruckus downstairs and came out to give the returnees a piece of her mind. According to her, the evicted housemates have been provoking the housemates and ranting since they got into the house.
She exchanged words with them and was shoved, pushed and further provoked by the returnees.
Many fans have expressed their shock and anger at the show of bullying, provocation and toxicity allowed on the show. Some fans, however, seemed to enjoy the drama and expressed their desire for more.
The handlers of some of the housemates posted on social media about the housemates getting bullied and condemned the act.
Fans react to the housemates’ fight with returnees
Many fans have called on the organisers of the show to address the bullying, provocation and negativity the returnees have unleashed on the housemates. While some fans claim to have enjoyed the drama, others called for the exit of the evicted housemates and hurled insults at them and the organisers of the show.
Here are some of the comments:
@oceeMbadiwee posted: “Our big Teddy, you don't deserve everything you faced last night. Bullying and age shaming in 2024 on a big TV platform should never be tolerated or encouraged. Your emotions and your reactions are justified because they show you're human after all. We love you, and thanks for showing that we can stand up to bullies when it's not right.”
@iamDo2dtun posted: “Just think about this for one second. I am pretty sure they were sent in there to stir things up.. Cool! Just imagine, they retaliated. Would it be part of the script ?? Won’t that have cost them the game knowing those guys were sent in there to provoke them ?”
@kweennely posted: “Outright Provocation. Intentional Goading. Disregard and Disrespect for the rule book. While Nelly has shown that laughing amidst chaos is one of her coping mechanisms, we can see how badly this affects her mental health. Nelly is bound by rules and the rule book but evicted employees disregard these rules and continually goad her, continually provoke Nelly with their rehearsed words/scenarious gotten from the outside, alongside delusional takes made up in their shallow heads, they came with an EDGE. They have TARGETED Nelly alongside 2 other week 9 Bs, knowing fully well if Nelly or they in any way REACT with SAME ENERGY they will be facing STRIKES and/or DISQUALIFICATION.
This is quite PATHETIC to watch and beyond SAD that WOMEN have subjected themselves as TOOLS and set themselves as SABOTEURS of other women. We are sad this is happening but are STRENGTHENED in the resolve that the show will not INTENTIONALLY harm Nelly or any housemate and that Nelly is surrounded by people who care about her. NELLY WILL COME OUT OF THIS STRONGER !”
@MrMekzy_ posted: “‘Imagine Ruthie putting hands on Ocee & still calling him a woman beater, if they let both of them, she definitely won’t survive it. Big brother just brought those three mad people back to emotionally and physically abuse the other housemates. They’ve lost the plot. This is no longer a show.”
@Me_lissassa posted: “I don save this video. Make she dey come out, this social media go too hot for am, she block me, I open another page, dedicating the next months remaining in this year to troll Dami, Rhutee and Chinwe.”
@OppyAlheri posted: “Maybe someone needs to write a petition to NBC since nobody in that entire team has common decency and sense to see that this isn’t right. Cooked? So now you encourage violence? Goading? Bullying? Where is your duty of care to the actual HMs? You all cannot be this foolish please.”
@ChiomaMba5 posted: “So now the show now supports assault/violence…what do you mean by biggies house really cooked? When has violence suddenly become CONTENT? I don’t understand it at all…”
@bummiearo posted: “If you cannot stand the heat don't come to the show. This is not the first time though and not the worst of toxicity.”
@ChiUmolu posted: “Ruthie will regret this later. Everyone is trying to market themselves but she is there destroying herself. When others are getting endorsements she will realise the level of damage she did to herself.”
@ceec58072 posted: “Get those ninjas out. So they were sent to beat up hms and pushed them to disqualification. The same hms we have worked tirelessly to keep in the house??? GET THEM OUT NOW!!!”
@atieneomas posted: “Your show has lost its credibility! It's all about violence...you are very stupid! Shey Uche Ikemjiba is the producer and she intentionally sent them to come provoke these housemates after all your stupid "Facing your fear" presentation and "Mental Health" task.”
