With the release of his 2021 song, Zazu Zeh, Portable rose to the limelight amassing a total of 6.6 million views on YouTube and becoming one of the most played songs at the time on Spotify.
A few months after the release of the song, which featured Olamide, Portable had his first controversy when he alleged that Poco Lee and his promoter were trying to rip him off.

Earlier, TheRadar reported that Nigerian controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as, Portable was criticised for allegedly slapping a pastor during his Instagram live.
This is not the first the singer has been called out for a controversy or the other. In 2023, Portable was arrested by the Ogun State Police for failing to comply with a 72-hour ultimatum over an alleged assault.
