Popular street-hop artiste Portable, real name Habeeb Okikiola, has publicly criticised fellow musician Bella Shmurda following the latter’s comments during an interview on Isbae U’s Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, where Bella said he did not feel their music styles were compatible.
During the podcast, Bella Shmurda described Portable as “a good man in his own way,” but made it clear he didn’t see a musical fit or desire unnecessary “wahala” (trouble) that might accompany a collaboration.
In response, Portable took to a video shared on his social media platforms, scathingly attacking Bella’s character and career.
“Hello, bobo, come here, who are the people in your set that you claim you don’t see the connection in featuring Portable?”
He further ranted in the video that Bella was a “failure” unable to match his international success, urging, “Anytime you wan do interview no call my name… Which connection wan join me and you?”
He emphasised his global presence, highlighting performances in America and London as proof that he is the bigger artiste: “No be who first blow o, na who dey blow dey go.”
Portable added in the caption of his post, saying,
"I show you love for London, I scatter your show did you pay me talk good about me …. Na you dey look for Wahala na jeje Wahala dey oooo @bella_shmurda I no be una mate who’s big is big no go drag who pass you ✍🏻 OGBAFIA pass Dangbana."

Portable avoids jail time after paying N30,000 fine for assault
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Portable avoided a three-month jail term by paying a fine of N30,000 for assault. The verdict was delivered on Tuesday, April 29, by Chief Magistrate Babajide Ilo at an Ifo Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State.
The court found Portable guilty of two counts of assault, stemming from an incident that occurred on November 18, 2022, in Okeosa, Ilogbo.
