The nominations announcement for the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has sparked discussions among music enthusiasts, especially with The Weekend film receiving 16 nods. 

The prestigious award ceremony is scheduled to be held on November 2, 2024 to crown the winners of each 26 categories up with nominations.

TheRadar, on Thursday, October 3, reported The Weekend, as the most nominated film at the 2024, AMAA alongside the full list of nominees. 

With AMAA’s recent announcement, the selection sparked reactions from movie lovers, expressing their excitement, pain and grudges.
