- Bamiloye emphasised that sharing false testimonies is a serious offence against God
- He called for accountability and encouraged those involved to seek repentance
- The warning came amid growing concerns over the authenticity of viral videos of church testimonies on social media
Mike Bamiloye, the founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, has issued a warning to Christians about the dangers of sharing misleading testimonies in church. He denounced these actions, emphasising that such individuals are joking with God.
This follows the controversial miracle testimonies by members of the Lord’s Chosen Church in viral videos that have sparked discussions on social media.
Bamiloye warns against fake testimonies in church
“PLAYING PRANKS WITH GOD! If you stand on the Lord’s Altar to give fake testimonies deliberately, you are playing pranks with God! If you mount the Altar of God to deliberately tell lies that God has done what He knew nothing about, you are playing pranks with God!” Bamiloye shared on his Facebook account on Thursday, September 19.
The Nigerian gospel filmmaker further said “If you arranged a fake testimony to be said on the Lord’s altar just to pump up congregation, you are playing pranks with God! If the devil set you up to embarrass the church through all his reckless bloggers, you are playing pranks with God!”
He encouraged the pranksters to embrace a new path, stressing that they have the chance to repent before God's judgment is rendered.
Playing pranks with God risks your soul, Bamiloye warns
“He would not take the dirty glory of the Devil. He is King of Glory. If you are playing pranks with God, I am so sorry for your derailing soul. The Devil that employed you to do this has a damning agenda for your soul.
“The Judgement of God is hanging upon all the pranksters who are making mockery of God and the Body of Christ. It is a terrible judgement! They have misled multitudes of weak Christians. They have discouraged lots of new converts. They have hardened the hearts of many unbelievers. For the purpose of monetisation,” the Nigerian gospel filmmaker said.
Misleading testimonies have damaged the faith of many believers, Bamiloye
He added, “If you play pranks with God, you are risking your soul and playing with God’s judgment.”
“The entire Bible is full of mind-blowing miracles! Luke 1:37 KJV For with God, nothing shall be impossible. But if the Devil has given you a gift and you come to the Lord’s Altar to give God the glory, You are playing pranks with God!,” Bamiloye stated.
Bloggers dragging the church in the mud are ignorant of their actions, Bamiloye
He also warned bloggers eager to denounce the body of Christ for financial gain, stressing that they do not realise they are being guided by the devil.
“And you BLOGGERS looking for things to write against the Church of Christ, employed and paid by the devil to drag His Body in the mud and stripe the church naked in the market place for monetisation, come on, you are ignorant of the fact that you are being used by the devil.
“As for me, God is unlimited. There is nothing, absolutely nothing He can not do! He can do ALL THINGS! He brought water out of the rock. He walked upon the sea. He brought out a coin from the fish’s mouth. He turned water into wine and multiplied bread in the hands of disciples.”
“You’re a fool to think you can improve God’s work,” Pastor Adeboye addresses women fond of makeup
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye shared his opinion on women and the use of makeup.
According to the Pastor, God did a remarkable job creating humans, and the use of makeup by women reflects disbelief in His perfection.
