On Sunday, January 12, 2025, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya marked his 85th birthday with a lavish celebration at his estate in Lagos, showcasing the epitome of opulence and high society. 

The event attracted a stunning array of Nigeria's influential personalities, emphasising the remarkable legacy of one of the nation's most esteemed patriarchs.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo graced the occasion, instilling a sense of historical significance, while Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke and Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu contributed their energetic charm to the event. 

The gathering also featured distinguished figures from the media and philanthropic spheres, such as Dele Momodu and Tony Elumelu, who are both synonymous with success in Nigeria's business arena. Monarchs were also present at the event. 

The entertainment sector shone brightly, with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo making a memorable appearance alongside her partner, entertainment mogul Paulo Okoye, Mariam Timmer, Mosunmola Abudu, and many more. Their presence highlighted the vibrant and glamorous nature of Nigeria's film industry.
