A seemingly innocuous comment on a wedding clip of popular disc jockey DJ Kulet by a netizen has unwittingly opened Pandora's box, revealing the shocking details of her divorce from her ex-husband, Chef Ohis Emmanuel.

The comment, which simply read "They are now divorced" by @missMauyon on @Its_Yhettyqueen's post on April 22, 2024, about DJ Kulet's overprotectiveness of her husband during their wedding sparked a chain reaction of events that led to DJ Kulet’s public exposure of her ex-husband's infidelity and sexual abuse of a minor, leaving netizens stunned and outraged.

Popular disc jockey Kudirat Gbemisola, better known as DJ Kulet, has declared her divorce from Chef Ohis Emmanuel due to accusations of adultery and defiling a minor. 

The pair, who were married in an extravagant ceremony in April 2024, had their marriage terminated after DJ Kulet learnt of her husband's heinous behaviour. 

Within eight months of their marriage, DJ Kulet accused her husband of “cheating with multiple women” and defiling a minor.

In a now-deleted post on Instagram, DJ Kulet alleged that these happened within eight months of their marriage. She accompanied the post with a video where her husband confessed to defiling a 13-year-old girl.

In the video, DJ Kulet and the victim's mother, Mummy Favour, could be heard arguing over the matter. DJ Kulet was heard telling Mummy Favour that Emmanuel had been sexually assaulting her daughter for months. 

The victim corroborated DJ Kulet’s account, while Mummy Favour tried to downplay the situation, blaming it on the devil's handiwork. This response has also sparked significant backlash for the mother on social media. 

The 13-year-old victim confessed to being repeatedly molested by Chef Ohis Emmanuel, stating: “He used to molest me and my friend Fathia inside the car, every night. Anytime I come to my friend's place, he is always sucking our breast and he will bring out his ‘pre*k’ that we should be massaging it.”

Another video that emerged showed DJ Kulet and her husband attempting to silence the minor with gifts, including money and a wristwatch. DJ Kulet stated that she decided to publicly cut ties with her husband due to his refusal to change his behaviour. 

She posted: “I, DJ KULET, am publicly disassociating myself from my ex-husband, Ohis Emmanuel (aka Benjamin) @hemmarsnoop, due to his egregious and reprehensible actions. Despite overwhelming evidence (including chats, photos, videos, and voice notes) of his infidelity, he has refused to change his ways.

“The final straw was the shocking discovery of his prolonged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old minor, which occurred under my roof for six months. Previously, I had forgiven him after he shifted the blame for his infidelity to external influences, unaware of the extent of his abuse.

“Further investigation, including a video confession on December 28th, 2024, revealed that he had also molested his 20-year-old cousin, resulting in her contracting an infection, as well as her friend. His predatory behavior predominantly targets minors, and he continues to engage in infidelity with multiple women.

“In our short-lived marriage of less than 8 months, I have treated infections three times. As a VICTIM myself, I feel compelled to expose individuals like him to protect others. I urge everyone to be vigilant and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.”

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has launched an investigation into the alleged child molestation case involving Chef Ohis Emmanuel. The agency posted on its official X page: “We appreciate everyone who brought the incident of child sexual abuse posted by @Olamide0fficial to our attention.

“As the Statutory Agency in Lagos State dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, we take this very seriously. Violence in any form is unacceptable, and the Lagos State Government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against it.

“As of right now, we have reached out to DJ Kulet via Instagram DM, but if anyone has more information, kindly get in touch with us immediately. Please use our toll-free hotline: 08000 333 333 or send us a direct message through our social media platforms. Every child deserves protection, no matter who they are or where they come from!”

Police investigate trending alleged defilement in Lagos, says victim’s mother not cooperating

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the command commenced an investigation in the case of a 14-year-old who was allegedly defiled by her landlord’s son in Lagos. 

He, however, revealed that the victim’s mother is not cooperating with the investigations, and neither is everyone on the street where the house is located.
