Afrobeats sensation, Michael Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger has officially announced the release of his anticipated album, Blownboy Ru.
The singer’s announcement comes a few weeks after he dropped his first single of the year JayJay to the sizzling delight of fans.
Ruger, who is signed to his Blown Boy Entertainment, on Monday, March 3, announced his upcoming album release date with a freestyle song.
The video shared on his official Instagram page, captured Ruger freestyling the information he intended to pass on a popular reggae beat.
“Allow me to introduce myself. I’m the F*cling Ruger. You can call me Segun today because I’m dressed like a responsible Yoruba man.
“I’m here to announce my album in a very different way because Blownboy, we are different. You feel me. Listen to this vibe,” Ruger said before jumping into his freestyle.

According to Ruger, his anticipated album, Blownboy Ru will be released on March 28, 2025.
Shortly after that it will be followed by his tour across the United States of America, London amongst others.
The 25 -year-old singer promised his fans an unforgettable experience with his 13-track album, which will capture the true art of his artistry.
“28th of March, my album drops. Zero diplomacy, full war zero talks. Me got the cure you need to your clogged eardrums
“If I no cook for you, wetin una wan chop? 37 minutes of real artistry, 13 tracks you’re gonna have to put on repeat. Play for as long as you want no restrict.

“Make I no yarn too much wetin go be go be still. Dance to the beat, I swear una go jam on repeat. I swear no one does it like me. Album 28th of March, US tour in May, Erupe tour in May. London and the UK in September,” Ruger announced in his freestyle verses.
