Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has explained why he will not intervene in the recent dispute between actresses Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.

Ogogo made the remarks during an interview with Feel Right TV, where he addressed the widely discussed tension between the two prominent figures in Nigeria’s film industry.

The controversy gained renewed attention after Funke Akindele reportedly snubbed Toyin Abraham during the premiere of a film hosted by Iyabo Ojo on Sunday. The incident came barely eight months after both actresses were said to have reconciled following a long-standing feud.

Reacting to the situation, Ogogo declined to comment directly on the specifics of the disagreement, stating that he deliberately avoids involvement in disputes between women.

“I don’t interfere in women’s disputes,” he said, adding that such conflicts are often complex and difficult to mediate.

The veteran actor, however, used the opportunity to caution both actresses, urging them to appreciate their success and the opportunities they have received in the entertainment industry.

“Both of them are blessed by God. So, why are they fighting?” he queried, expressing concern over what he described as unnecessary conflicts among successful individuals.

Ogogo further contrasted how men and women handle disagreements, suggesting that men are more likely to resolve issues quickly and move on, while women may prolong disputes.

“When men have similar issues, they laugh over it and move on, but women will make a mountain out of a low hill with the same issues,” he said, concluding that it would be unwise for him to get involved.

His comments come shortly after veteran actress Saje claimed she had reconciled the two actresses and advised them to keep their differences off social media.

The situation has continued to generate reactions within Nollywood and among fans, highlighting the intense public interest in celebrity relationships and conflicts.

While it remains unclear whether the reported reconciliation will hold, Ogogo’s stance reflects a broader sentiment among some industry figures who prefer to stay neutral in personal disputes.
