Nigerian singer Naira Marley has faced criticisms from netizens over insensitive lyrics he sang on Zinoleesky’s new single ‘Abanikanda’.
Naira Marley, since 2023, has not been on the good side of Nigerians as a result of his alleged involvement in the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
The recent criticism of the Marlian Records boss follows the one-year remembrance of Mohbad’s death on Wednesday, September 12, 2024.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post trending on social media, some lyrical lines by Naira Marley on ‘Abanikanda’ went viral with netizens drawing analysis of their perceived meanings.
Many of them alleged the lyrics were connected to the death of Mohbad. According to them, the verse lines also provide strong evidence of what Naira Marley knows as regards the alleged bully and death of Mohbad.
Meanwhile, following this, TheRadar through social media monitoring observed that the trend might be a PR stunt to get people talking.
