Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has emerged as the most popular ‘bad boy’ character after Nigerians chose him over his colleague, Zubby Michael, on who plays the role better.

The comparison duel all started on X (formerly) after a user, Agana Gee, made a post that aroused nostalgic scenes and feelings about old Nollywood films. Using Jim and Zubby, he asked whom fans would rather choose to play a ‘bad boy’ role in a movie.

Many responses, as monitored by TheRadar, showed numerous fans arguing that Jim Iyke is a better actor and they would prefer him in a ‘bad boy’ role to Zubby Michael. Some stood for Zubby but were not as many as Jim’s supporters.

47-year-old Iyke is a renowned performer who started his acting career in the late 1980s. He has built a reputation for himself as a ‘bad boy’ after featuring in over 150 Nollywood movies, with a significant portion of them featuring him as such.

On the other hand, his counterpart, Zubby, became popular after playing the lead role in The Three Widows. He has equally starred in numerous Nollywood movies with awards to show for his efforts. The 39-year-old actor and producer has also played the ‘bad boy’ role but many Nigerians seem to consider Jim better.

Lucky Dube or Bob Marley? Nigerians argue, take sides on who the better Reggae star is

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that despite being 43 years old and 17 years since Marley and Dube died, arguments continued to rage about who the better Reggae artiste is.

The argument over Dube and Marley started when a Nigerian identified as @The_Vyrus (Mighty Mohammed) posted on X on Saturday, July 6, that, “I think I should just make a Bob Marley vs. Lucky Dube Thread.”

The post sparked several reactions in the comment section, with a handful expressing their love for each artist based on their distinctiveness.
