- Baba Ijesha claimed Iyabo Ojo once left her children in his care during a podcast interview
- Iyabo Ojo denied the claim and described it as false and misleading
- She warned that she could take legal action if her children were mentioned again
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has warned actor Baba Ijesha of possible legal action following remarks he made during a recent podcast interview.
The dispute arose after Baba Ijesha appeared on the ‘Talk to B’ podcast hosted by Biola Adebayo, where he addressed allegations made against him in 2021. During the interview, the actor claimed that Iyabo Ojo had at some point entrusted her children into his care, a statement he made while denying accusations of misconduct.
Reacting to the viral interview, Iyabo Ojo strongly refuted the claim, describing it as false and misleading. Taking to her Instagram page, the actress cautioned Baba Ijesha against involving her children in the matter, stressing that she would not hesitate to pursue legal redress if necessary.
“The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my children into this, else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers,” she wrote.
Iyabo Ojo was one of the most vocal figures during Baba Ijesha’s trial, publicly advocating for justice following allegations brought forward by comedienne Princess. The case drew widespread public attention at the time, sparking conversations about child protection and accountability within the entertainment industry.
Baba Ijesha, in the recent interview, maintained his innocence regarding the allegations, insisting that he is not guilty of the claims previously levelled against him.
However, his comments referencing Iyabo Ojo’s children appear to have reignited tensions between the two actors.
The latest development has triggered reactions across social media, with fans and observers weighing in on the renewed dispute. Many have called for restraint, while others emphasised the need to respect legal boundaries and protect the privacy of individuals not directly involved.
As of now, it remains unclear whether Iyabo Ojo will proceed with legal action. However, her warning signals a possible escalation if the issue persists.
