“No politics”: Fathia Williams responds to controversies about her upcoming ‘Efunroye’ biopic
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that a few days after Nollywood actress Faithia Willaims teased her new Yoruba epic film, Efunroye:The Unicorn, her move generated a controversial backlash considering the heroine of the film.
The heroine, Efunroye Tinubu, is said to be a powerful female aristocrat. Hailing from Egbaland in the 18th century, Efunroye was politically and economically influential in that era.
Many opposed Faithia Williams’ move to document Efunroye’s story over claims of her preposterous personality as the biggest slave trader of the era.
