Following his controversial divorce saga, renowned Afrobeats singer Innocent Idibia known as 2baba, has responded to critics.
The legendary singer’s response comes on the heels of reactions that have trailed his decision to leave his wife Annie Idibia.
It was also necessitated as a result of his rumoured relationship with an Edo State Lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.
In a now-deleted video, he posted on his official Instagram page, circulating on social media, on Wednesday, February 12, 2Baba set the records straight.
He addressed critics, who have insinuated different opinions about his relationship with Annie Idibia and described it as ‘false.’
“Hey, my people, what’s up? So, allegedly I have been seeing so many things. So many people came up with their own false narratives and false talk and malicious nonsense after I posted what I posted.
“Yes, I posted what I posted. Any person, wey get brain, go understand. But for all of the people that do not have any absolute clue on what is going on. I hail Una.
“See, everybody is going to be alright. There is no fight. There is no quarrel. I said what I said,” he expressed in the video.
2baba’s relationship with Natasha Osawaru
The 49-year-old singer went on to confirm his relationship status with Natasha, clarifying ongoing rumours.
2Baba praised Natasha’s brilliance and noted that she was in no way involved with his separation from Annie Idibia.
According to him, he has plans to marry Natasha and the rumours flying about the Edo State lawmaker are false.
“Then, Honourable Natasha, I see that she has been dragged and called all sorts of names. She has been labelled as a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant and amazing woman. She had nothing to do with what was happening between me and Annie in our marriage.
“She has absolutely nothing to do with that. I see everybody allegedly trying to rope a fight. Yes, I love her. She is amazing. I want to marry her. That is on one side,” 2Baba explained.
2Baba, Annie Idibia are on good terms
The Implication crooner, in the video, also touched on how he is in an amicable state with his wife Annie Idibia as opposed to what is being reported about them.
He also appealed to critics to be sure of what they are reporting about them especially if they know nothing about it.
“Then on the other side, me and Annie, we no dey fight. We no dey quarrel. We have a good understanding of ourselves and what is going on. So, allegedly, everyone keeps on alleging.
“Thank you very much and move on with your perfect life. Na me carry am come there so you are allowed to intefere and say what you feel like. Please, when you want to allege, make sure you know what you are alleging,” he added.
