In a social media post on Monday, August 19, the question was asked by 49th Street and netizens have flooded their comment sections with their opinions.

Who are the top 3 greatest Nigerian artistes of all time?” it asked.

The list had a blend of Afrobeats and Fuji music pioneers, including contemporary artistes, to battle out the top 3 greatest Nigerian artistes of all time. 

It included Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, 2baba, Tiwa Savage, P-Square, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.

Gathering over 250,000 views, netizens have reacted with their preference for the greatest Nigerian artistes of all time. Many believed the list was incomplete, for some, they picked their choice of artistes and why they did so.
