It was a rush of emotions for fans, colleagues and family members as late gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi known as Aduke Gold was laid to rest in Ogba axis of Lagos.
While controversies still hang over the real cause of her death, the singer was reportedly confirmed dead last Tuesday following the post of her colleague, Esther Igbekele.
Covering the live burial procession of the popular singer on Friday, August 23, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) News Yoruba, reported that many at the last service struggled with emotions and grappled with the reality that Aduke Gold was truly dead.
“At the burial program of the famous singer Aduke Gold who was absent we are at Lagos Garden. Many here at the last service can't stop the tears flowing in their eyes.” it captioned.

In one of the live videos, one of the emotional moments captured was when a part of the casket was opened while friends and well-wishers strolled along to take a final look at the late singer.

The singer was said to have been ill for two months. She was admitted to the University College Hospital in Ibadan, where she reportedly passed away on August 12.
Meanwhile, the funeral arrangements were earlier announced on Saturday, August 17, via an obituary announcement. The candlelight took place at Ayanleye Primary School, Idiagbon bus stop, Ifako Ijaiye, Ogba, Lagos.
