Mixed reactions have erupted among netizens following the performance of Afrobeats star Burna Boy at the Guaranty Trust Holding Company’s end-of-the-year party.
Many argued that the singer was not supposed to take such gigs, which, according to them, lowered his standards as one of Afrobeats’ big three.
For some, it was hypocritical that Burna Boy was not called out like his colleague, Davido, who faced criticism for performing at the Fidelity bank end-of-the-year party.
On December 18, a netizen pointed out on an X (formerly Twitter) page that Burna Boy shouldn't be taking gigs like his performance at GTCO.
