Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, alongside popular 19-year-old TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, broke a notable record on TikTok.
Davido and Peller’s collaborative live stream became the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa with a total of 389,800 viewers.
Peller had earlier shared the news of himself going live with the Afrobeats star, Davido and it generated mixed reactions on social media.
On October 30, Nigerian TikTokers Peller, Jarvis and Jo Blaq hosted the live stream which over 164,000 people simultaneously watched.
The historic feat by Davido and Peller is said to have surpassed Peller and Tiwa Savage’s previous record which was set during a recent live-stream session they also had together .
Meanwhile, Davido’s Tiktok live stream with Peller reportedly generated a total of 377 lion gifts said to be valued at $400 each. However, in a heartwarming gesture, Davido announced that all earnings should be given to TikToker Peller and his team.
