Nigerian singer Burna Boy and football star Asisat Oshoala are among six global ambassadors set to feature in SportyBet’s inaugural Crash Games World Cup, a 21-day competition offering nearly $100,000 in prizes to players across Africa and Mexico.

The tournament, scheduled to begin on October 14, 2026, will also feature DJ Khaled, South African rugby star Cheslin Kolbe, former South African footballer Benni McCarthy and Ivorian footballer Yan Diomande as ambassadors for the competition.

The championship will combine individual and team contests, with participants competing for cash prizes, exclusive merchandise, Free Bets and a championship ring valued at $1,500.

DJ Khaled, Sporty Group’s global ambassador, said players across the participating markets would compete for the top position on the leaderboard during the 21-day event.

“This is big. Players across Africa and Mexico, six teams, 21 days, nearly $100,000 in prizes and only one champion. Everybody wants that number one spot, but there can only be one. This is the Crash Games World Championship. Let’s go!” he said.

How SportyBet’s Crash Games World Cup will work

Players will begin by selecting one of the six ambassadors to represent during the competition. Once confirmed, their selection cannot be changed for the remainder of the tournament.

Participants can then play any eligible Crash Game to earn experience points (XP) and improve their positions on the individual leaderboard. Their qualifying gameplay will also contribute to the performance of their chosen ambassador’s team.

The scoring system will be based on cashout coefficients rather than stake sizes. A 2x cashout, for instance, earns 20 XP before any applicable progression multiplier, while a 10x cashout earns 100 XP. Losing rounds will not attract points.

According to SportyBet, only qualifying real-money gameplay will count towards the competition. Manual and automatic cashouts will be treated equally.

Players can join at any point during the 21-day tournament, although activity before their entry will not count towards their scores. As they accumulate XP, participants will progress through Crash Levels and be able to track their individual rankings, contributions to their selected teams and overall team standings.

$5,000 cash prize and $1,500 championship ring for winner

SportyBet said 5,000 players would receive a share of nearly $100,000 in prizes, including cash, signed merchandise and Free Bets.

The overall winner will receive $5,000 in cash, a championship ring valued at $1,500 and a T-shirt signed by the six ambassadors.

The exclusive ring, designed specifically for the inaugural competition, is gold-plated and set with zirconia. Its design draws inspiration from championship rings awarded to NBA winners.

DJ Khaled said the ring would be reserved for the competition's winner.

“And that championship ring? That’s for the winner. You can’t buy it. You have to earn it. I want Team Khaled at the top, so choose your team, get in the game and let’s make history. Another one!” he added.

Players finishing second and third will each receive $2,500 in cash and a signed T-shirt, while those ranked fourth to 10th will each receive $1,000 and a signed T-shirt.

Participants ranked 11th to 100th will receive signed T-shirts, while those finishing between 101st and 500th will receive $50 in Free Bets each.

Players ranked 501st to 1,000th will receive $20 in Free Bets each, while those occupying positions 1,001 to 5,000 will receive $10 each.

Six ambassador-led teams to compete for top honours

The team competition will feature Team Burna, Team Oshoala, Team Khaled, Team Kolbe, Team Benni and Team Diomande.

While players compete for individual positions, their qualifying gameplay will also contribute to their selected ambassador’s performance on a separate team leaderboard.

At the end of the 21-day tournament, the individual leaderboard will be frozen and the results verified before the winners are announced. SportyBet also said winners would undergo identity verification before prizes are released.

The Crash Games World Cup will run across participating SportyBet markets in Africa and Mexico, with the competition scheduled to end after 21 days.
