Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha has joined the increasing number of Nigerian celebrities exploring greener pastures abroad.
The reality TV star announced on Monday, November 25, that she would be embracing the Japa syndrome by leaving Nigeria for the United Kingdom.
Tacha took to her X handle, @Simply_Tacha, to share the news. She posted: “Relocating to the UK. so help me God”
A number of celebrities have moved abroad in recent years, including notable stars like Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Eldee, Dr. Sid, Uche Jombo, Emeka Ike and others.
Recently, a Nigerian singer and politician, Bankole Wellington, announced that he had relocated to the United States of America with his wife, a Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi, and their family.

Tacha's post on X triggered a mixed reaction from her fans. Some speculated whether she had gone or was just planning to go. Some humorously suggested that she take them along, while others congratulated her and offered words of encouragement.
However, one netizen, @Rubydollofx, commented that Tacha would not get the UK visa as the country is not meant for people like her.
She posted: “It's not like I'm throwing shades at you,but the UK no be for people like you, no bother because them no go give you visa.”

Japa: 71,459 Nigerians became Canadian citizens in 19 years
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that 71,459 Nigerians became new Canadian citizens within 19 years, according to data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Although Nigeria occupies the 10th spot, according to the data, it is the only African country on the list, alongside Asian, North American and European countries.
