Ex-Big Brother housemate and winner of the 4th edition Mercy Eke has opened up on why she decided to get her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
BBL is a surgery where a doctor transfers fat from the belly, hips, lower back or thighs to the buttocks. The result is usually to form an hourglass shape.
In a recent YouTube interview by Kenes Glow on August 29, Mercy said the decision to get her BBL was inspired by the trend at the time.
According to her, it wasn't that her former body was a write-off but she just wanted to be part of what was trending.
“To be very very truthful. At first, it was the trend at the time. I think I did my body in 2018. I think at the time, it was just the trend, maybe peer pressure like everyone is doing it. I actually had a very good form like my body was not that bad. It was slim but maybe the stomach was a little bit too much.”
I was a little bit scared. I didn't tell my mom because I didn't want anybody to discourage me. So, it was me and two of my friends. We planned it, paid and the three of us did it at the same time.” she explained.
Further in the interview, the host asked her about the widely believed pain that comes with BBL and her experience. In replying, Mercy Eke mentioned that it wasn’t all the process that is as painful as people think.
“It is just the fact of getting your body massaged is the painful part and then you won't be able to sit with your butt for I think 14 days or thereabout. You will also have to lie on your stomach. So, that is the painful part. Apart from that, it is worth it.” she added.
Mercy Eke is a Nigerian media personality and actress. In 2019, she became the first woman to win the popular Big Brother Naija reality show. The 33-year-old, who hails from Imo State is the founder of MNM Luxury.
