- The thespians were also said to have done so over amid feuds for not attending each other’s events
- Faithia Balogun has addressed being blocked by Funke Akindele over the alleged feud
Nollywood actress Faithia Balogun has responded to her colleague Funke Akindele blocking her on Instagram.
Reports surfaced on Monday, December 16, that Funke Akindele blocked Faithia for not attending the premiere of her highly anticipated film Everybody Loves Jenifa.
It was also claimed that Faithia didn't attend the premiere because Funke Akindele likewise didn't show up for her (Fathia) father’s burial despite the invitation. These allegedly led to them unfollowing each other.
On Tuesday, December 17, Faithia Balogun addressed the reports that her colleague, Funke Akindele, had blocked her via an Instagram video that was making the rounds.
“They said you blocked me. If you blocked me here on Earth, did you block me in heaven? Or did God in heaven block me? Are you God that I am praying to?” Faithia asked.
However, at the time of this report, details about the circumstances surrounding their alleged feud remain unclear.

“No politics”: Fathia Williams responds to controversies about her upcoming ‘Efunroye’ biopic
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that a few days after Nollywood actress Faithia Willaims teased her new Yoruba epic film, Efunroye:The Unicorn, her move generated a controversial backlash considering the heroine of the film.
The heroine, Efunroye Tinubu, is said to be a powerful female aristocrat. Hailing from Egbaland in the 18th century, Efunroye was politically and economically influential in that era.
Many Netizens opposed Faithia Williams’ move to document Efunroye’s story over claims of her preposterous personality as the biggest slave trader of the era.
