Popular Nigerian music executive Abisagboola Oluseun known as Bankuli, recently responded to a recent video of South African singer Tyla over the global status of Afrobeats.

According to her, it is not something that is fully recognised globally.

In response to her video, Bankuli, on Monday night, March 3, countered Tyla’s statements.

The popular music executive reminded her about Afrobeats status before she came into the picture.

Afrobeats has been recognized globally before your hit song Water. It's a journey of over 2 decades. I believe your handlers should get @AOT2 to school you about the journey of Afrobeats. Cc @Tyllaaaaaaa

“Dbanj ft Kanyewest (Ye), Wizkid x Drake and Davido x Meekmill. Too many songs that have gone global before your entry into the game,” Bankuli wrote.
