Renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker Muyiwa Ademola is gearing up for an exciting new project as he prepares to unveil a fresh remake of the acclaimed 2004 film, Ori: The Rebirth.
This anticipated release promises to bring a contemporary twist to the original film, captivating both old fans and new audiences alike.
54-year-old Muyiwa, who also marked his birthday, shared on his official Instagram page, on Sunday, January 26, the news about the remake of the anticipated film, Ori: The Rebirth.
The veteran actor called on fans and colleagues to support his history-making adventure and promised a memorable cinematic ride with his latest story.
“Hello, Everyone. It's my birthday today. Please and please celebrate me with this video. Guys, brace for impact. Starting from the 1st of May, 2025, Ori: The Rebirth will be at the cinemas across the country.
You will love it. You need to go to the Cinema to see this film. It’s an amazing story. It's an amazing film. In total, you will love Ori just like you loved the one I shot in 22 years ago.

About Muyiwa Ademola’s Ori: The Rebirth
The blockbuster epic film, Ori (Fate) was first originally produced by Muyiwa Ademola in 2004. It prominently featured Faithia Balogun, Saidi Balogun and Muyiwa Ademola.
The 2004 original Ori epic was a highly commended Yoruba film that focused on destiny, perseverance, and self-discovery.
However, the remake Ori: The Rebirth created by Muyiwa Ademola who wrote, produced, and directed it, offers new input from popular filmmakers Adebayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo Salami.
While Filmone Entertainment is in charge of distribution for the remake, it features popular Yoruba stars including Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, and Odunlade Adekola, Sola Sobowale, Lateef Adedimeji, Omawunmi Dada amongst others.
Ori: The Rebirth is scheduled to hit cinemas across the country on May 1, 2025.
Funke Akindele shares trailer for most anticipated film ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that renowned Nollywood actress and director Funke Akindele released the trailer for her most anticipated film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, which features a lineup of popular faces.
Everybody Loves Jenifa, set to hit the cinemas on December 13, and follows Funke’s previous box office film, A Tribe Called Judah, which was released around the same time.
