Multichoice, the South African pay-TV company, has announced the increase in the prices of its monthly subscription on all DStv and GOtv packages effective from March 1, 2025.
The price increment is coming almost one year after the company’s last price review.
In a statement to its customers on Monday, February 24, titled, ‘Price Adjustments for DStv and GOtv Packages,’ the company said the price adjustment is due to prevalent economic factors leading to increased operational costs.
“Please be informed of the price adjustment to our DStv and GOtv subscription packages effective 1st March 2025.
“Due to prevalent economic factors leading to increased operational costs, we have unavoidably had to adjust the price of our DStv and GOtv subscription packages.
“We understand the impact this change may have on our valued partners, and we have only taken this step after careful consideration and in-depth analysis.
“It has always been our mission to offer the best entertainment to our esteemed customers and we are committed to continue delivering high-quality content and unparalleled service to our viewers across Nigeria.
“So, from Saturday, March 1st 2025, the price adjustment will take effect,” the statement, signed by Multichoice’s Chief Executive Office, John Ugbe, read.
Price adjustment to DStv and GOtv subscription packages
The latest price review will see the price of the DStv Compact bouquet go from N15,700 to N19,000 monthly. The Compact Plus will increase from N25,000 to N30,000, and the Premium subscription will go from N37,000 to N44,500.
Also, the price of the DStv Confam package will increase to N11,000; the Yanga package will rise to N6,000, while the Padi package will cost N4,400.
Similarly, GOtv customers will now pay N1,900 monthly for the Smallie package, while the price of the Jinja package increased from the current price of N3,600 to N3,900.
The price of the Jolli package increased from N4,850 to N5,800. The Max package will now cost N8,500; the Supa package increased to N11,400, while the Supa Plus package was increased to N16,800.
