CAC adopts ReVOps to streamline company registration payments.
CAC unveils ReVOps payment integration for company filings.
  • The Corporate Affairs Commission has introduced a direct payment option on its iCRP portal through ReVOps
  • The commission announced that users can now pay directly for filings and other services online as services covered include annual returns, change of name, and status reports
  • The new system aims to improve transparency, efficiency, and revenue collection

The Corporate Affairs Commission has introduced a direct payment option on its portal, allowing users to pay for services through ReVOps on its Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP).

The development was announced in a statement posted on the Commission’s official X handle on Wednesday, May 6, as part of efforts to streamline registration services and improve user experience.

“The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) wishes to notify its esteemed customers that payments for the following filings can now be conveniently made directly on our portal via ReVOps on the Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP),” the statement read.

Before the update, payments on the platform were processed through the Remita gateway, which supported debit card transactions, bank transfers, and branch payments.

According to the Commission, the new system is designed to simplify processes and enhance service delivery for customers using the portal.

Services now eligible for direct payment include Annual Returns Filing, Change of Business Address, Cessation of Business, Change of Name, and Change of Objects.

The Commission added that other services covered under the new payment structure include Change of Proprietor or Partner details, Certified True Copies, status reports, and Letters of Good Standing.

The initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s broader push to digitise public finance systems and strengthen revenue collection through technology-driven solutions.

The Revenue Optimization and Assurance Project (REV-OP), launched last year, is aimed at improving public financial management by blocking revenue leakages and promoting transparency across government agencies.

Built on the pillars of transparency, efficiency, and digital transformation, REV-OP enables real-time monitoring and supports data-driven decision-making across public institutions.

The latest development comes weeks after the CAC temporarily shut down its online portal between April 17 and April 20, 2026, following a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to parts of its systems.

The incident had raised concerns over the safety and integrity of corporate data managed by the Commission.

With the introduction of direct payment through ReVOps, the CAC is expected to improve transaction efficiency, strengthen digital operations, and provide a smoother experience for businesses and users accessing its services online.

CAC to offer free registration for 3,500 small businesses nationwide

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) had unveiled a nationwide initiative to register 3,500 small businesses free of charge across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The commission’s Registrar-General, Hussaini Magaji, explained that the programme is intended to ease the financial burden of business formalisation for micro and small enterprises while motivating more entrepreneurs to operate within the formal sector.
