La Liga giants Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms to sign Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich, an important move to bolster their left-back position while ongoing rumours swirl around Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold, whose contract with Liverpool expires in June, remains a hot topic of speculation. Despite Real Madrid's rumoured £20 million bid for him in January, Liverpool rejected the transfer offer.
The 26-year-old has yet to publicly address his future, although recent reports suggest Liverpool are keen to retain him. The Liverpool Echo reported in December that Alexander-Arnold has shown no clear desire to leave Anfield, but negotiations are proving challenging.
Renowned pundit Ben Jacobs, speaking in an interview, recently revealed Alexander-Arnold’s conditions for a contract extension,

Meanwhile, Real Madrid appear to be shifting their focus. Spanish outlet, Marca reported that Los Blancos have agreed personal terms with Alphonso Davies, whose contract with Bayern Munich also ends this summer.
The Canadian international's situation is also similar to Alexander-Arnold’s, with Bayern still engaged in talks to retain him. However, Davies' agent, Nedal Househ, has reportedly instructed lawyers to prepare contracts, suggesting a deal is nearing completion.
Real Madrid’s left-back position has been a point of concern. Fran Garcia is viewed as a rotation option, while Ferland Mendy's inconsistent form and injury troubles have left the club vulnerable.
Davies’ arrival would address these issues and add depth to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
