- VeryDarkMan had agreed to settle his legal dispute with Blord amicably following intervention by Omoyele Sowore
- Blord had been remanded for 26 days before being granted bail on self-recognition by the court
- Both parties had expressed willingness to resolve the matter and move forward without further conflict
Popular social media influencer VeryDarkMan has agreed to an amicable resolution of his ongoing legal dispute with cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, following the intervention of veteran activist Omoyele Sowore.
The development comes after weeks of tension between the two public figures, whose online feud escalated into a legal battle. Blord had been remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre for 26 days beginning on 1 April 2026, amid allegations linked to the dispute.
Sowore had publicly criticised the circumstances surrounding Blord’s detention, accusing VeryDarkMan and his legal representative, Marshall Abubakar, of leveraging influence to secure the remand. He also pledged to work towards Blord’s release.
The criticism initially drew a sharp response from VeryDarkMan, who challenged Sowore’s style of activism and issued threats of legal action. However, the situation took a different turn after the court granted Blord bail on self-recognition two weeks into his detention.
Speaking to journalists following the bail ruling, Marshall Abubakar confirmed that both parties were now committed to resolving the matter without further escalation. He noted that discussions were already underway and expressed optimism that progress would be reported at the next court sitting.
“We have now resolved to work together and to get this matter resolved amicably,” Abubakar stated, adding that both sides were keen to move beyond past grievances.
He also commended Sowore’s role in facilitating dialogue, while acknowledging VeryDarkMan’s willingness to de-escalate the conflict. According to him, although the dispute had elements of criminal prosecution, there was a shared desire to avoid prolonging the matter.
Abubakar further described the evolving relationship between the parties in positive terms, suggesting that Blord and VeryDarkMan now view each other with mutual respect.
Highlighting the broader significance of the resolution, he remarked that both individuals represent influential voices among Nigerian youth and have the potential to contribute meaningfully to the country’s future.
The case is expected to return to court on an adjourned date, where both parties may present updates on the progress of their settlement efforts.
