Garba Adamu, the state's NAFDAC coordinator, disclosed that the operation was carried out during the agency’s patrols of markets in Sokoto and its environment.
Adamu urges public to support only registered products
Adamu pointed out that the products were unregistered, presented serious safety hazards due to harmful ingredients, and were visually unpleasant because of the use of pornographic images on the packaging.
He urged the public to refrain from purchasing such products from unlicensed vendors and to only support registered and safe products from licensed establishments in a statement,
”We also call on the general public to always report hawkers and dealers of such products to NAFDAC, as well as report any adverse reactions they may get from taking such products or any other regulated products.”
There has been a significant social media reaction to this development in Sokoto, with netizens sharing their thoughts.
