In response, Governor Siminalayi Fubara downplayed the ruling, stating that concerns over the court’s decision are "the least" of his administration's problems.

His remarks came during a special thanksgiving service held on Wednesday, October 30, where he celebrated his government's resilience amidst ongoing political turmoil, which escalated following an arson attack on the State House of Assembly one year ago.
Governor Fubara reassured that his administration would continue payments to contractors and ensure workers’ salaries are processed starting tomorrow.
He also confirmed that the allocations for the 23 council chairmen would be credited, as the necessary procedures through the Joint Accounts Allocation Committee (JAAC) have been completed.
Encouraging his supporters, the governor emphasised the importance of resilience, explaining that all challenges can be overcome.
