Following the recent Edo gubernatorial election, which saw Senator Monday Okpebholo emerge as the governor-elect, it's timely to examine the other Senators representing the people of Edo State in the National Assembly.
The National Assembly comprises two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. Edo State is represented in the Senate by three senators, each serving one of the state’s senatorial districts.

Senator Monday Okpebholo - Edo Central (54)
Inaugurated on June 13, 2023, Senator Monday Okpebholo represents the Edo Central Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly and heads the Senate Committee on Public Procurement.
On September 22, Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission confirmed Okpebholo, the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress, as the winner of the contested election.
The governor-elect was born on August 29, 1970.
Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole - Edo North (72)
Adams Oshiomhole represents the Edo North district in the 10th National Assembly as a senator.
Before this role, he was the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) from 1999 to 2007, where he became well-known for his campaigns against escalating oil prices in Nigeria.
He also served as the governor of Edo State from 2008 to 2016. Oshiomhole was born on April 4, 1952.
Senator Bernards Neda Imasuen - Edo South (66)
As a first-time senator in the 10th Assembly, Senator Bernards is among the fresh voices in the assembly.
He represents the Edo South Senatorial District under the Labour Party (LP). He was born on June 29, 1958.
