Nigerian politician, Chris Uba allegedly assaults artisans physically in the UK
  • Chris Uba reportedly assaulted two artisans who demanded for their payment after completing their work
  • The artisans threatened to report the situation to the police
  • Nigerians believe he should be made to face the law

Chris Uba, a prominent Nigerian politician, has allegedly assaulted artisans who demanded payment for the work done in his house in the United Kingdom (UK).

In a video circulating on social media, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member from Anambra State, Chris Uba was seen physically assaulting an artisan while another artisan recorded the incident. The artisan was demanding payment for the work he completed at the politician's house but Uba demanded that they leave his house.

The other person recording the video asked why the artisan was being assaulted and said, “he doesn’t wanna pay the money, we have done work for him, the whole house, is that right Suleiman? So he is trying to beat him.”

Although the details of the job were not mentioned in the video, the man recording it mentioned that the incident would be reported to the police, and the politician rushed towards him at the end of the video.

Nigerians react to Uba’s assault video

Many Nigerians believe that the politician should be made to face the law for his actions. Some netizens said it is a bad look for the country and that he should be deported.

While others think he should have learnt from Ekeweremadu, a former deputy senate president who is currently serving a nine-year jail term in the UK for plotting to harvest a man’s kidney.

Here are some of the comments:
