A circulating graphic alleged N200 million for presidential aspirants and N20 million for state assembly candidates
APC spokesperson Felix Morka described the report as “false and misleading,” urging the public and media to completely disregard the viral claims

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a widely circulated report claiming to reveal the party’s official prices for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing it as entirely false and misleading.

The viral graphic, which gained traction across media platforms on Friday, March 27, alleged that presidential aspirants under the ruling party would be required to pay as much as N200 million for nomination forms, while those contesting for state assembly seats would pay N20 million.

Reacting to the development, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, issued a statement on Saturday, March 28, firmly distancing the APC from the claims.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating in sections of the media regarding a purported ‘price list’ for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 General Elections.”

He emphasised that the report did not originate from the party and should not be taken as official communication.

“The APC states categorically that the report is FAKE, and did not emanate from the Party.”

Morka further clarified that the party has not yet made any decisions regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the 2027 elections.

“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections.”

Describing the viral content as baseless, he added:

“The report is a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.”

The APC spokesperson urged party members, media organisations, and the general public to disregard the report in its entirety.

The clarification comes shortly after the party concluded its national convention held in Abuja between Friday and Saturday, as preparations gradually begin ahead of the next general election cycle.
