He made this announcement during an interview on the Gold Room podcast, hosted by Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Sunday, December 8 .
In the 2023 election, Rhodes-Vivour placed second with 312,329 votes, trailing behind the winner, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 762,134 votes.
Reflecting on the election, Rhodes-Vivour acknowledged the lessons learned from his campaign and the areas that need improvement for the future.
“We gained a lot of traction, saw our mistakes, and identified the loopholes we made. We’re working on that. By God’s grace, I will run again in 2027,” he decalared.
Rhodes-Vivour also shared his thoughts on the state of politics in Lagos, criticizing the common practice of opposition parties going silent after elections.
“The biggest mistake in Lagos politics is when the opposition goes quiet after elections. That is not happening this time,” he stated. Instead, he emphasised that his party is remaining active by engaging with the public and holding the current government accountable.
He highlighted some of the initiatives he and his team are pursuing, including health outreach programs and a micro health insurance plan, which offers free treatment worth up to N6,000 across the state.
Additionally, Rhodes-Vivour expressed his commitment to staying involved in current affairs and speaking out against wasteful government spending, especially when citizens are suffering.
