As part of its commitment to ensuring dependable power for key areas, the Federal Government, through the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), has deployed power plants across six federal universities.
This was disclosed during a recent briefing by the agency’s Managing Director, Abba Abubakar Aliyu, with Mr. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

REA deploys power plants across six universities
The agency announced that it has made notable progress in advancing Nigeria’s electrification initiatives.
The institutions covered are the University of Abuja, the University of Maiduguri, Federal University Gashua in Yobe, the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike, and the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that the Federal Government announced the plan to recruit 3,500 new teaching staff to improve educational quality.
